DuoCam - Support
Questions, bugs or a camera to report - we would like to hear from you.
Contact us
Email support@letsgetstashd.com with the subject "DuoCam - Support" and we will get back to you. If something went wrong, tell us what you were doing, which iPhone you have and which version of DuoCam you are on. In the app, Settings shows the version.
Watching cameras
A camera says it is not responding. What do I do?
It may be offline for a while. Try again later, or pick another camera. Cameras belong to their owners, who can switch them off, move them or change their address at any time. If a camera stays down, tap the flag beside it, or use Report this camera in the camera's menu, and we will take a look.
Why do some pictures fill the screen and others keep black bars?
Each camera has its own shape. Where it is close to the shape of the space, DuoCam fills the space and trims a little from the edges. Where it is very different (wide video on a tall panel, for example), the whole picture is kept and black bars fill the rest, so nothing is cropped away.
What do Live, Loop and Delayed mean?
Live is moving video as it happens. Loop is a short clip that repeats. Delayed is a still picture that refreshes every so often, from seconds to many minutes, depending on the camera.
Does the camera list update?
Yes. DuoCam checks for new and removed cameras every time you open it, so you do not need an app update to get them. Settings has a button, Re-download camera list, if you want to fetch the list again.
Report, suggest or remove a camera
How do I report a camera that is down or shown without permission?
Tap the flag beside the camera, or choose Report this camera in the camera's menu. Your email app opens a prepared message to us with the camera's details; add what is wrong and send it. We check reports and, where it is right to, remove the camera.
How do I suggest a camera?
Go to Settings and choose Suggest a camera. A prepared email opens: tell us the camera's name and place, a link to the live picture or the page it is on, and whether you run it or have permission to share it. We look at every suggestion.
I own or run a camera shown in DuoCam. How do I have it removed?
Go to Settings and choose Ask us to remove a camera, or email support@letsgetstashd.com. We will remove the stream promptly, normally within 72 hours, and we will not ask you to justify the request. We are sorry that we have not been able to obtain every owner's express permission.
Shared links
How do shared links work?
Share sends a card with a picture of the camera and a link. A link that starts letsgetstashd.com/cam opens that camera in DuoCam. If a camera has been removed since the link was sent, DuoCam tells you.
I opened a shared link and DuoCam did not open.
DuoCam needs to be installed on the iPhone you open the link on. Without it, the link shows a page on this website instead. Once DuoCam is installed, tap the link again.
DuoCam Pro
What does DuoCam Pro add?
Two and four cameras at once, unlimited favourites (free, you can keep three), snapshots, recording and your own camera links. DuoCam Pro is an auto-renewing subscription.
How do I restore, manage or cancel my subscription?
In DuoCam, choose Restore purchases to bring Pro back on a new or reset iPhone. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple: manage or cancel one in your Apple Account settings on your iPhone, and for a refund use Apple's Report a Problem page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Why can I not record a camera?
Recording works only with live video cameras whose owners allow it, and it is part of DuoCam Pro. YouTube cameras cannot be recorded. A YouTube snapshot is YouTube's own latest picture, which can be a few minutes old.
Privacy
Does DuoCam track me?
No. DuoCam has no account and no analytics or crash-reporting service, and it asks for none of your permissions. The free version shows non-personalised Google AdMob ads, which DuoCam Pro or the Remove ads purchase takes away. See the DuoCam privacy policy for the detail.
Which version do I have?
Open DuoCam and go to Settings: the version is shown at the bottom. DuoCam is for iPhone, and it is designed for the iPhone Duo.
