Using the app
How is this different from Fake Beer?
Fake Beer - Virtual Pint (Free) is the same rendering, the same nine drinks and the same five games as
the paid Fake Beer. It shows ads instead of costing money,
the Cheers moment is a static picture instead of a video, and the Barwoman bar person
starts locked behind a one-time rewarded ad rather than being free from the start. See
the full comparison for the detail.
Why do I see ads, and can I remove them?
Fake Beer - Virtual Pint (Free) is free to download because it is ad-supported — a small banner on the
Settings screen, and an occasional interstitial after repeated "have another go" taps.
There is no purchase in this app to remove them; if you'd rather have no ads at all,
Fake Beer is the same app for a single 99p purchase.
How do I unlock Barwoman?
Settings → Bar person → Barwoman shows an unlock prompt the first time you select her.
Watching one short rewarded video unlocks her permanently on that device — nothing
about the drinks or games changes either way, it's a cosmetic choice.
What does "the camera is real" mean?
The rear camera feeds the room behind the glass, live, so the beer refracts your
actual table or kitchen rather than a stock photo standing in for one. The frame goes
straight to the screen and is released every time — nothing is recorded or sent
anywhere by us.
What happens if I say no to the camera?
Everything else still works. The glass refracts a synthetic room instead — a table
with its own grain and a beer mat — so there is still something with edges for the
light to bend around, just not your actual surroundings.
What are the game modes?
Don't Spill fills your selected drink right to the brim and times how
long you can carry it before a drop goes over the rim. Split the Drinks,
Three Levels and Custom Split all ask you to stop a
pour by feel alone — at exactly half, at three checkpoints in order, or at your own
target. Perfect Pour has you tilt to build a proper head from empty,
scored on landing between too little (flat) and too much (overfoamed). All five are
graded on what actually happened to the liquid, not a script, and all end with a result
you can share.
Why does upside-down mode exist?
So the picture matches however you actually find yourself holding the phone — it
flips the whole scene so the notch sits by the base of the glass instead of through
the middle of the head.
Purchases
Fake Beer - Virtual Pint (Free) has no purchases of any kind — there is nothing to buy and nothing to restore on a new phone. Barwoman unlocks by watching a rewarded ad, not by paying.
Your data
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob and otherwise collects nothing and makes no network requests of its own. Your settings live on your device, and the camera frame is never recorded or transmitted unless you finish a game and explicitly choose to share the result. See the Fake Beer - Virtual Pint (Free) privacy policy for the detail.
There is no account to delete. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
