The quickest way is from inside the game: tap "We're brand new! Tell us what you think" on the title screen, or Send feedback in Settings. Either opens your mail app with the address and subject filled in, plus your app version and device, so a bug report arrives with what we need to fix it.

Playing the game

How do I play?
Your chicken runs by itself. Tap to jump, and tap again while you're in the air to flap - up to three flaps before you land. Clear or dodge whatever the farm puts in your way: hurdles, walls (jump over them or land on top and run along), overhangs, pits, animals, farmers and farm machinery. Bumping into things costs POWER but you carry on running; falling into a pit ends the run.

What are POWER and CHICKEN FEED?
POWER is the green bar at the top of the screen. Every bump takes a chunk off it, and it comes back slowly while you run clean. When it runs out, you're cooked. CHICKEN FEED is the yellow bar underneath: extra power on top of a full bar, used up first when you bump.

What are power-ups and power-downs?
Power-ups help: Shield, Magnet, Wings, Turbo, Slow-mo, Shrink, Big, Mega, and the rare SONIC (triple speed, unlimited flaps, smashes everything). Purple pickups are power-downs - Heavy, Tired, Dark, Dizzy, Vertigo and Mirror - and every one of them can be avoided. Each one is explained the first time you meet it.

What is the pipe?
Most levels hide a secret pipe. Run into it and it skips you straight to the next level.

What are Seasons?
Every three days, everyone plays exactly the same levels, so the Season leaderboard is a fair race. The countdown on the title screen shows how long the current Season has left; when it hits zero, the levels change for everyone and a fresh board starts. There is also a Daily Challenge, weekly and all-time leaderboards, and a ghost of your best run to race.

How do extra lives and coins work?
When you're cooked you can carry on: every 100 coins is an extra life, up to three per run. You can also choose to watch a short video to revive. You pick up coins as you play (bird flocks are worth chasing), and can also buy coin packs in the Shop. Coins buy extra lives and cosmetic chicken skins; there are no paid random items.

How do I turn the tips back on?
The game explains each new thing the first time you see it. To see all of those tips again, go to Settings > Show all tips again.

Purchases

How do I restore my purchases?
On a new or reset device, go to Settings > Restore purchases (it is also available in the Shop). Remove Ads and the Starter Bundle come back from the App Store. Coin packs are used up as you spend them, so there is nothing to restore for those, and game progress is stored on the device only.

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. For a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page.

Privacy and ads

How do I change my ad privacy choices?
Go to Settings > Privacy choices. Players in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland see Google's consent message on first launch, and can change their answer there at any time. The game requests non-personalised ads.

There is no account to delete. Deleting the app removes your progress and settings; to have your leaderboard entries removed, email us with the nickname shown on them. See the Flap n Dodge privacy policy for the detail.

Which version do I have?

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app and go to General > iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage) > Flap n Dodge - the version number is shown at the top. You don't need to look it up for a bug report if you use Send feedback in the game: it adds the version for you.

Flap n Dodge runs on iPhone and iPad. An Android version is planned for later.
